Data Deletion

Last updated: 2026-05-20

Echo gives you two ways to remove your data, depending on what you want gone.

Just disconnect Facebook

If you only want Echo to stop posting to your Facebook Page (and to forget your Page Access Token), do this in-app:

  1. Sign in to /settings.
  2. On the Facebook panel, click Disconnect and confirm.

The Page Access Token is deleted from Supabase Vault immediately; we lose the ability to post to your Page. Your queue history, rendered clips, and church configuration remain intact.

Equivalently, you can revoke Echo from your Facebook settings: Facebook Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → Echo by Wroot Labs → Remove. Facebook will notify us; we delete the Vault token on receipt.

Full account deletion

If you want everything Echo has about you and your church removed — sermon transcripts, posts, rendered clip files, voice profile, any Vault tokens, the account record itself — email:

wilson@wrootlabs.com

Include the email address you sign in with and (if you have it) the church slug. We will delete within 7 calendar days and reply when it's done. Backups age out within 30 days; deletion is complete across all systems by that point.

What gets deleted

What we keep

Aggregated, de-identified operational metrics (e.g., "X clips rendered this month across all churches") are retained for product development. These contain no identifying information about your church or its members.
